A micro fiction exploring the word ‘Green’ in different contexts

“Why all your paintings are in that color?” the art class colleague asked.

“Take a guess.”

“Favorite color?”

“No.”

“A cry for the environment?”

“No.”

“You’re depicting jealousy!”

“That’s ridiculous.”

“Ha! It’s your religion’s holy color.”

“Ha! Still wrong.”

“Then why?”

“Because I am a new recruit,” he answered with a mischievous grin.
